Strategy
First, map the manor’s layout before you chase any monster. Light sources are scarce; conserve your flashlight for tight corridors where hidden traps lurk. When a creature appears, remember it reacts to sound. Crouch, move slowly, and use the environment—throw a broken vase to distract, then slip past.
Second, treat every object as a puzzle piece. The game rewards logic: a rusted key won’t open a locked door unless you’ve found the corresponding rust remover hidden in the attic. Keep the inventory tidy; the Tab menu is your lifeline for combining items on the fly.
Third, prioritize upgrades that boost perception. A brighter flashlight cuts through the mist, revealing faint glyphs that unlock shortcuts. Upgrading stamina lets you sprint away from a monster’s charge, buying precious seconds to solve the next riddle.
Finally, learn the patterns of each monster. Some stalk in predictable loops; others react to your flashlight’s beam. Study their behavior, then exploit the weak spot—whether it’s a cracked wall or a hidden alcove that forces the creature to retreat.
